AIDS WALK LA 2020

My work for AIDS Walk 2020 consisted of concept development for the theme of the walk, brand identity development, and digital design for all AIDS Walk LA communications. The goal for this first ever digital AIDS Walk LA was to pivot the walk to a digital format that still warranted steady participation and donations regardless of the unique circumstances of the time. Additionally, this walk aimed to inform participants of what their donations are affecting.

Brand Identity

To depict the different format of 2020’s walk, I created a brand identity system that combined the recognizable elements of past AWLA logos with new elements that represented this year’s theme. The mark aimed to show what had been in the shadow of past walks: the programs that are positively affected by the money raised. The strong, exaggerated drop shadow created a three dimensional mark that revealed the “Get With The Programs” theme.
